Raiatea Helm

Raiatea Mokihana Maile Helm is an authentic Hawaiian singer from Molokai, Hawaii who is known for her powerful vocals accompanied by an authentic `ukulele strum. She has played for audiences around the world, places including China, Tahiti, Japan, and Okinawa.
It is no surprise her hard work and dedication for preserving the authentic Hawai’ian culture has landed her several prestigious awards including 2 Grammy nominations, Native Arts & Cultures Foundation Fellowship, and numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Raiatea has garnered international success as well as being one of Hawaii’s premier female vocalists.

Ukulele Festival Makena Kimie Miner

Kimié Miner

Kimié Miner is an Emmy- and Grammy-nominated producer, singer-songwriter, recording artist, and music advocate, and founder of Haku Collective, a full-service music and talent production group elevating Hawaiian music and mentorship. A multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner, she has co-written and co-produced six albums and was named Female Artist of the Year at the Island Music Awards. She serves as a Recording Academy District Advocate and former Board member. Rooted in culture, she champions Hawaiian identity, mentoring youth and women while strengthening indigenous artist communities through music, education, and advocacy leadership.

Kris Fuchigami

Kris Fuchigami’s musical journey began with a humble ukulele and strong passion to master the instrument. Within two years, he won the Hamakua Music Scholarship Competition on Hawaii Island, competing against pianists, vocalists, drummers, and more. This success launched his rise as a ukulele virtuoso. He has since performed at international festivals, earning acclaim for his innovative style and technique. Kris received Na Hoku Hanohano nominations in 2016 and 2018, and won Instrumental Composition of the Year in 2019, 2021, and 2023, solidifying his reputation as a leading figure elevating ukulele globally.

Jeff Peterson

Slack key guitarist from Maui, Hawaii, Jeff Peterson is known for sophisticated performances blending traditional Hawaiian ki hoalu (slack key guitar) with classical and jazz elements. His delicate yet dynamic fingerpicking and crystalline tone embody the depth and beauty of Hawaiian music. Internationally acclaimed, he also collaborates on ukulele projects, sharing Hawaiian string traditions in diverse settings. His rich musicality and expressive range are enhanced in ensemble performances where strings resonate together. He delivers a magnificent performance evoking the landscapes and spirit of Hawaii.

MAKENA

MAKENA brings together Ho‘okena and former Makaha Sons members Moon Kauakahi and Eric Lee, blending iconic Hawaiian music traditions. Ho‘okena has been a cornerstone of Hawaiian music for nearly four decades, known for innovative contemporary-traditional sound. Since 1985, they released 13 albums, toured worldwide, and performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Japan. Their 2020 album Meant To Be marked their 35th anniversary and was a Na Hoku Hanohano Awards finalist. Together they continue sharing Hawaiian heritage worldwide through powerful music, hula, and performances preserving culture and inspiring global audiences worldwide today.
